After an early morning pick up and only a couple hours south of Cancun you are going to visit Tulum ruins, take advantage of the certified tour guide who will take you around the ocean front site and explain the layout and meaning of the most iconic buildings and temples around such as “El Castillo” and the “Temple of the Descending God”, the astronomy of things and how they used to be a key point for maritime trade back in the day. Then is time to take off to Coba ruins, a few kilometers west of Tulum. This off the beaten path mayan site has a good 1000 years of history behind it and it once was a very powerful city having influenced the Yucatan peninsula, Belize and Guatemala before the rise of Chichen Itza. Get to climb Nohoch Mul pyramid which is 137 feet height and has a total 120 steps. From the top of this mayan pyramid you will have a 365-degree view of the jungle as well as other big structures on the site and the two lagoons that surround it.
